dc.description.abstract	In the present article, we situate mourning and friendship within the context of Freud’s work on psychoanalysis and Derrida’s philosophy. In the first part of the article, we mainly base our reflections on Freud’s «Mourning and Melancholia» from 1917. Beyond the close relationship between both events, we attempt to establish a difference between mourning as a mere substitution of libidinal allocation, and melancholia as loss and rupture within the self (which would signal the opening of a particular philosophical perspective in Freud’s thinking). Afterwards, and within Derridean philosophy, we think of mourning as a dialogue between friends—an uninterrupted dialogue relating to mourning itself from its outset and to the impression of an inescapable ending. Finally, we attempt to open a venue (exordium) for further discussion and treatment of the idea of dialogue with ghosts as an ethical-political imperative in relation to the legacy of the dead and the disappeared.	es_CL
